    Dr. Tanya
    Keymaster

Does my child need to play soccer for me to be here?

Not at all! While “Soccer Mom” is the name on the door, it’s really an archetype for any active, intentional parent. Whether your child is into music, chess, robotics, or just navigating the playground, if you’re interested in Child First development, you belong in this community.

Is Dr. Tanya always in the Lounge?

I am in the Lounge daily! While I can’t respond to every single thread, I dive into as many conversations as possible to offer the PhD Perspective. Think of me as your resident coach—I’m here to help you see the bigger developmental picture.

Can I ask for medical or psychological advice?

The Parent Lounge is an educational and collaborative space. I provide insights based on developmental science, but this is not a substitute for therapy or medical care. If you or your child are in a crisis or need a clinical diagnosis, please consult a local professional.

Who can see what I post?

The Lounge is a private community for members only. However, since we are a collaborative group, please remember that anything you post can be seen by other members. We ask everyone to respect the “Safe to Fail” rule: what’s shared in the Lounge stays in the Lounge.

How do I manage all these emails/notifications?

We want this to be a place of peace, not another digital chore! You can fully customize your experience in your Profile Settings. You can choose to get an email for every post, a single daily digest, or turn off emails entirely and just check the “Notifications” bell when you log in.

Can I edit or delete a post?

Yes! We all have “oops” moments. You can edit or delete your own posts and comments at any time by clicking the three dots (…) in the corner of your post.
